A detailed Account of UNIS-UN
So two weeks ago, we had UNIS-UN. What is UNIS-UN? It is basically students from all over the world coming to NY to have an assembly/conference like the UN has, in the general assemble and all. Our school, being the United Nations International School, was the main school involved. Aka it was mandatory attendance for all highschool students, except for the Tut1s (freshies. THeydidsomethingbad: they wrecked the music room and their whole year is in trouble O_O freshmen used to be able to go, but this year they were not).
It started on a Tuesday, for me (despite the actual event being on Thursday-Friday.) I hosted Japanese People XD they are really cute (attitude-wise) and i got along with them.Their names? Noriko and Kurumi. They gave me mad gifts too! (which made up for the fact that i got japanese girls instead of guys. lolz) They were from some random public school in yokohama. But hosting was so disorganized O_O nung tuesday, i had to pic up the people i was hosting, and i had to stay in school til 7 kasi galing p sla sa airport. They got there at 8 O_O and, i didnteven know i had to pick them up til that day.
On Wednesday, I brought them to school and they toured and stuff, they sat in my english class. Hehe. Two random Japanese dudes went too, they were nice. There was also a dinner that happened that day, to welcome the people from all over the world visiting for the conference. I sold tickets to the Neel Bagh Dance! (major dance at UNIS, after the first day of the conference!)
Puro Juniors and Seniors, mga people from Bahrain, India, france, London, china, everywhere (pero walang pinoy =/) And i hosted one more girl, named Laura. My stepbrother hosted her dapat pero binayaran ako para alagaan XD Laura is british, and tawag ni mommy sa kanya matrona, kasi nagpapahintay at mapilit sa gusto. She made me wait for her during the dance and took like 4 hours XD (exagg but it felt like it,i had to drag her out)
Thursday: UNIS-UN. SA harap ako and all I did was SAT math prep. Man, feeling ko talaga na bumobo ako dito XD And yeah, that’s all I did. I then chilled with adaeze after school in izza’s house, and then brought my people over to my house. We then prepared for the neel Bagh dance! (WHICH IS the biggest and best dance of the year, supposedly, kasi maraming tao NOT from UNIS who are going.) I’m part of the club nga XD and we raised around 4,000 usd. (7-10 per head with around 900 students, I’d say that’s pretty good XD). I even got my friend who never dances unless he’s drunk, to dance. That was a major victory on my part XD And I got conservative Japanese guys to dance. Hehehe ;)
We got home at around 12. i slept an average of 4 hours/night then O_O haaay
Friday: UNIs-UN part two. Izza’s birthday rin!!
So I was in front with Ben, listening to various speakers talk about Global Warming. The techie-oriented people were in the broadcast booth, broadcasting the conference to other people around the world to be able to partake in this experience. They were lucky because they didn’t have to listen. And they saw everyone from their POV, (theybroadcasted the numerous participants who fell asleep, including teachers!)Lolz (not that anyone wanted to knw XD) Then we chilled at Izza’s house after because Izza had food.
We went back to school after, to fetch the Japanese people I was hosting along with the Japanese people Yasmine was hosting. We went to Dylan’s candy bar, and died of exhaustion
The next day (SAtudray) I couldn’t rest because I had to take my Japanese people out. I basically just brought them to times square and Union square, where they shopped and I died of exhaustion.
And Sunday they left XD
Wow, fun and exhausting XD I can't wait for next year. but this time, I refuse to host people.
